July 1st 10:00 am through July 28th at 3 pm: Find Waldo in Durham!
Candlewick Press is once again teaming up with the American Booksellers Association and 250 independent bookstores all across the country, including The Regulator Bookshop, for some hide and seek fun as well as to encourage communities to patronize their local businesses. There is no charge to participate, and the hunt lasts for the month of July.
Waldo is hiding in a number of local businesses in Durham in July. Go find him! Thank you to 9th St. Merchants' Association for its help and support.
By July 1, you can pick up a Waldo Passport at The Regulator Bookshop (720 Ninth St., Durham), or any participating business. When you spot Waldo hiding in each store, collect a stamp for that box on your passport. It's a great way to get out and have some summer fun with kids and a nice way to meet your local merchants. Those with passports with 18 or more stamps will be entered for prize drawings at 3 pm on Sunday, July 29 at The Regulator Bookshop! Come in costume and enjoy family friendly Waldo-themed activities and prizes.
Come by The Regulator Bookshop to pick up your passport for the "Find Waldo Local" Scavenger Hunt starting on July 1, (or download and print one here: DOWNLOAD TO BE ADDED MID-JUNE)
This fun and interactive game is free and runs through the month of July. Visit participating local businesses throughout Durham (the list of stores is on the passport), get your passport stamped, and then join us on Sunday, July 28, at 3:00 p.m. at The Regulator Bookshop for a Waldo-themed party and the opportunity to win prizes.
