Collectable Department 56 Houses and Figurines!

We at Morgan Imports are proud to be the Durham year-round dealer for Department 56 villages and porcelain Snowbabies. Since 1976 the Department 56 company has been creating Christmas, and more recently, Halloween villages which are the state-of-the-art in both detail and craftsmanship. Since the mid-1980's, they have also been producing Snowbaby figures and ornaments that equally creative and well done.

Here at Morgan Imports, we carry the Original Snow Village and the five Heritage Villages: Dickens', New England, Alpine, Christmas in the City and North Pole. We stock almost all the buildings and accessories in each of these villages and a majority of the trees and landscaping items produced by Department 56. We also offer a large portion of the Snowbaby line, all of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," and a number of the licensed Charlie Brown pieces.

All the items we carry are displayed year round in the "perpetually Christmas" area at the back of our store.

Arrivals and Departures

Each year in mid-December, the Department 56 company (on their web-site: www.dept56.com) announces the new pieces for the upcoming year. Those new pieces begin arriving in our store in early spring and continue to do so throughout the summer.

In mid-May, Department 56 (on their web-site) announces the mid-year pieces and holiday gift sets. These pieces arrive throughout the fall, with the gift sets making their appearance in late October.

Each year on the first Friday of November, Department 56 (on their web-site) announces the names of those pieces that are being retired (buildings and accessories) or discontinued (trees and landscaping pieces) as of December 26th of that year. This means those items will no longer be produced and once a dealer is out of an item, he can no longer reorder it.

On the first Saturday of November through the second Sunday in November (see the Morgan Imports Calendar for details), Morgan Imports discounts trees and landscape items 20% to help collectors as they begin setting up their displays for the holidays.
